If it wasn't before, it is now safe to assume that "Electric Feel" is the "Young Folks" of 2008. Not that Jim Jones' "Electric Feel remix" is really comparable to Kanye's sampling of "Young Folks" for his Can't Tell Me Nothing Mixtape, but both imply a certain level of cultural presence for the original tracks. Indeed, this is probably more true for "Electric Feel," seeing as how Kanye West probably looks at himself as a sort of "cultural curator."
This is another remix loosely termed as such, since the only real difference is Jim Jones' rhymes bookend-ing the track. There's barely any editing at all, Jones just squeezes his sexually-inspired verses into the instrumental breaks at the beginning and ending of the song. It seems as if there's been a lot of lazy "remixes" like this lately. Is this the future?
Very disappointing.I was hoping they would put some effort into this lazy “remix”.
Yeah, this is awesome. Jim Jones spits hot-fire!
Seriously though, this is stupid.
>[OH EM EF GEE]< i already love this song and have played it out to death jus for the funky throw back vibe [plus] prince voice BUT THEN!!! WAIT IT GETS BETTER!!! lol they throw in a lil G swag on it. I mean its definitely not what we expected but its sexxi and broadens their audience... muy bueno MGMT, good call. lol
