MGMT: Daytrotter Session (Download)
Contrary to the music industry's annual winter slowdown, loads of artists continued grindingthroughthenew yearsholiday. Illinois-based Daytrotter Sessions just released an MGMT session recorded during the October 2010 Moogfest. There are four songs, three of which are from the duo's most recent album Congratulations and the fourth is a cover of Cleaners From Venus's "Only a Shadow." The recordings are crisp and the playing is light and brisk. Great way to start both the year and the day:
