I guess I'd be shocked if the video for Mew's sprawling and rocking "Repeaterbeater" wasn't a spooky, hypnosis-related clip with a bunch of horror movie-influenced scenes. It's almost expected from these dudes. Danes are weird.

Can someone tell me why a song this good needed a full minute of pointlessness beforehand?
It's not pointlessness before hand. Maybe it's very Danish- and understated, but I like it. It sets the scene, and then Wham. Here goes the music!
