Metric's "Gimme Sympathy" asks the age-old question, "Who would you rather be: The Beatles or the Rolling Stones?" The band refuse to answer that question (obviously the Rolling Stones if you quit as a band in 1975, but the Beatles if you have to be the Rolling Stones from 1975 onwards), but Metric do indulge in some Fantasies (coincidentally, the name of their new album) in the song's clip by switching roles in the band (Emily Haines rocks out on the axe for a bit).

Metric is self-releasing Fantasies in the U.S., while Last Gang is handling Canadian distribution and Arts & Crafts is handling Mexico. It's due out on April 14. [ Stereogum ]
