The Twilight: Eclipse soundtrack has proved to be a cash cow for medium sized indie rockers, and Metric are the latest band to benefit from a little exposure due to the film’s pop culture ubiquity. They appeared on Jay Leno’s show last night (July 21) to perform their contribution to the movie—“Eclipse (All Yours).”
Slipping in the name of the film into the title of the song probably pushed Metric up the rankings when it came to dishing out the promo duties for the movie, and the group does a professional, if slightly sterile, job here. “Eclipse (All Yours)” isn’t an especially memorable track, but it’s unlike that diehard fans of the film or band will be too ruffled by such a by-numbers song when they have plenty of other related media out there to enjoy.
