Christopher Mills premiered his short film Collect Call last weekend through Bravo!FACT's Shorts Under the Stars screening in Toronto. If that title reminds you of another artist from Toronto, give yourself some indie cred: It's also the name of a track from Metric's 2009 album Fantasies, which happens to soundtrack the short.
The video is a fairly psychedelic affair, filled with coffins, ghastly spectres and bursts of starlight. Emily Haines is turned into a wandering figure who is trapped in said coffin, is buried by said spectres, and escapes through said starlight.
