Metermaids: 'HELLO' (Mixtape)
The first leak from this New York City duo's latest remix project dropped a few weeks ago in "Girls and Music," a well crafted re-tooling of Animal Collective's hit "Girls." And it was only inevitable that the entire Metermaids project would become available. Well, today is that day as the duo, which enlisted the help of DJ Rob Swift on the cuts, now offers the nine-track HELLO mixtape for free. It features remixes of tracks from across the indie rock gamut from Grizzly Bear, to the Dead Weather, to Spoon, with MCs Swell and Sentence providing the complementary rhymes. If you're looking for a good companion piece to your summer drives or parties, this is it.
