“Memory Serves”

Another song from Interpol’s upcoming fourth album has found its way on to the internet. “Memory Serves” revolves around a rapidly strummed guitar figure that wouldn’t be terribly out of place in some long form post-rock song. The rest of the band plods along at a pace just below mid-tempo while Paul Banks emotes all over the entire thing. It’s all quite funereal, even for the usually gloomy Interpol. Give it a listen over at The Hook.

Interpol is due out on Sept. 14 via Matador.
