“Memory Lane” (Video)

Elzhi’s ELmatic — a fantatic reimagining of Nas’ classic debut, Illmatic — just barely missed out on making our best mixtapes of the year list.  To dude’s credit, he didn’t just pay homage to one of the best albums of all time; he made that shit his own. And for the visuals for his take on “Memory Lane,” Elzhi linked with the team of Gerard Victor and Jae Barber. Together, they provide a trip down the memory lane that is the mid-90s Detroit hip-hop scene, offering rare footage of Eminem, Slum Village, Royce Da 5’9″, and others. Watch the video below.
