James Blake may be the most intriguing new artist of the year, with his recent slew of EPs showing off a wide variety of talents in the electronic music realm. It wasn’t until his lovely cover of Feist’s “The Limit To Your Love” that his talent with organic compositions really reared its head. “Measurements” is another track in that vein, and its minimalist neo-soul leanings make for one of my new favorite tracks of the year, where simple musical lines accompany some of the most heartening vocal harmonies this side of a gospel choir. Blake has a full-length coming out later this year, and hopefully it’ll showcase every facet of the man’s talent. Take a listen below. [Pitchfork]
