Mavis Staples is currently enjoying some Grammy Award-winning success with her You Are Not Alone album, but while you try to figure out what Best Americana Album means, sit back and enjoy this performance of “Creep Along Moses” from the record. There’s no sign of producer Jeff Tweedy on this rendition of the track for Conan O’Brien’s show, but Staples and her band do a fine job of delivering the song anyway, which is an oddly structured gospel-rock crossover number.
