Is there a better named band than Mastodon? They actually sound like what I imagine stampeding hairy elephants would sound like.
Anyway (transition), the band have a new record coming out this month (Crack the Skye), and the song's first single, "Divinations," just got a yeti-featuring video that finds the band unfreezing a mountain man who shreds a solo on a flying-v and proceeds to eat the band. Metal stuff here, guys.

So. Freakin'. Good. Did anyone notice how they're actually singing and it doesn't have any impact on the metalness of the song? Damn them for playing Coachella instead of doing an LA date with Kylesa/Intronaut. That would have been show of the year.
