Marnie Stern: "Transparency Is The New Mystery"
Guitar whiz Marnie Stern has a self-titled album coming out on Oct. 5, and "Transparency Is The New Mystery" is the second song to be revealed from the record. The verses ride along on a rolling chug before building up into a triumphantly swinging chorus, with Stern's guitar work following a similarly skyward trajectory. Zach Hill keeps his crazy drumming style reigned in for most of the track, but still manages to find room for some technically impressive fills that keep the song from becoming too straightforward.
