Marnie Stern's video for "Ruler" starts off like some kind of Rocky homage, but it quickly turns into a meat-punching, rubber chicken chasing, puppy-loving fiasco. Stern even indulges in several outfit changes throughout the video, but not like a diva, since many of the outfits involve sweats. The goofy, frenzied pace of the clip is in line with the feeling of the album it comes from, Stern's effusively named This Is It..., which certainly has the potential to inspire more bizarre clips like this one.
