What might seem cheesy and obvious from almost anyone else just seems mildly appropriate from Marnie Stern. For instance, covering the Gouda of cheese anthems, Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" is pretty dangerous territory, but after Stern has squeezed, fret-slapped and in general just melted the song out of her guitar, it's almost like all of the 80's fringe is gone from it. Certainly not at all something you'd want to hear at a high school sporting event of any kind.










This is crazy. Her stuff is like... I don't know if this quite de-cheesifies this song, but it may be the closest we can ever get...
