Though radio rips have been circulating on the internet for a minute now, we had yet to hear a cleaned-up version of Mark Ronson's collab with Ghostface. It's a good thing this came out.
Ronson knows how to make music sound good, and he keeps that tradition strong here. In just over two minutes he combines the most basic elements of pop music (a simple melody, catchy hook, fast paced drums and a killer horn line) with, well, two Ghostface verses. There's not much else to be said.
His partnership and familial relations with a few unseemly women notwithstanding (remember Amy Winehouse? Whatever happened to her?), this dude has the ability to own Western music for a few years. Here's hoping.
Record Collection is due out September 28.
Love This!
