Here we have another song from Marissa Nadler's Songs III: Bird on the Water with a video directed by Joana Linda. Linda did similar, haunting work on the clip for "Bird On Your Grave." As with that vid, Nadler is nowhere to be found here. Perhaps she suffers from video fright, similar to how it's clear, if you've ever caught Nadler live, she's doesn't exactly seem comfortable on stage. So instead you have another female actress standing in for Nadler, wandering listlessly, longing for some undefined something. A tasty lollipop? A kiss from a hunky suitor? Maybe she'll find happiness, maybe she won't.
