Marco Polo: "Take Money" Beat Creation

To celebrate the release of his collaborative album with rugged MC Ruste Juxx, The eXXecution, producer Marco Polo took to YouTube to showcase how he made one of the record's beats. The nearly seven-minute video features Polo tinkering on his MPC and laptop, digging through vinyl, and chopping the hell out of funk samples to craft the grimy, piano-laden "Take Money." It's always a treat to watch producers, especially those as talented as Polo, demonstrate just how much effort goes into making their beats. But it's even better to hear how it all comes together, which you get a snippet of at the end.
