Philly Captain Beefheart-loving weirdos Man Man are coming back with a new album in May, and thanks to Stereogum, you can hear the title track, "Life Fantastic" now. Like just about every Man Man track, it's full of oddball harmonies, thumped pianos, and sounds like a weird soundtrack for a 1960's bar scene. But what's different here is that it's downright beautiful: Honus Honus and company scale down their wild thrusts into a considered beat and a lovely song. Maybe the best Man Man song yet? You be the judge.
