Major Lazer: "Hold the Line" (MP3)

"Hold the Line" is exactly what you'd expect from a project by frequent M.I.A. collaborators, producers Diplo and Switch. The project, Major Lazer, is an airing of the producers' dancehall influences, complete with spots from dancehall stars (like  Ricky Blaze, Mr. Lex, Prince Zimboo) and the usual suspects (Amanda Blank, Santigold). First single "Hold the Line" doesn't stop for a breath between Santigold's chopped up vocals and the track's frantically hammering beat. Considering Diplo and Switch's past work, we can likely expect more of this from the project's full-length, Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do

Gun's Don't Kill People...Lazers Do is out June 16 on Downtown Records.
