Mahjongg: Grooverider (Video)

Mahjongg—possibly Chicago’s most underrated band—has released a new video for “Grooverider” off their recent Kontpab. I’m not completely sure what the song or video is about but it’s all very groovy indeed. The scary face that occasionally pops up is reminiscent of Shepard Fairey’s Obey Giant motif so I’m going to say that it’s about the war or the election or something. That’s probably quite far from the truth but it’ll be fun watching the video a few more times to figure it out. Meanwhile, give Kontpab a spin if you haven’t already.
