Magnetic Fields: "Not One Of Us" (Peter Gabriel Cover)

Peter Gabriel is releasing a covers album this month (Scratch My Back, due out on Feb. 15), and then later this year, an album of people performing Peter Gabriel tracks will be out. To whet appetites for that project, Gabriel is streaming Magnetic Fields' cover of "Not One Of Us," from Gabriel's self-titled album. Stephin Merritt's take is sparse, yet busy, mainly in the vocals, since he layers high voice upon high voice, backing up his baritone. You can go here to hear it.
