"The Frontline (Liberation)" and "African Voodoo Queen (Drama)" represent two tracks off the third part of Madlib's ambitious monthly music series dubbed Madlib Medicine Show. These cuts appear on Beat Konducta in Africa, which has the Stones Throw producer crafting beats solely from rare African rock, funk, and jazz records.
The more impressive of these two leaks is definitely the funky "African Voodoo Queen (Drama)," though both tracks are a bit understated. It is also kind of strange to hear samples from Mos Def and Madvillain pop up on these, especially the latter that Madlib seems to be utilizing a lot lately. Chances are he's just doing it as a means of "watermarking" them.
