What's with European songstresses covering Kings of Leon? First it was Bat for Lashes on BBC Radio 1, and now it's Lykke Li on Carson Daly. Last week was covers week on Last Call and Lykke Li opted to cover Kings of Leon's "Knocked Up." Technically, Lykke Li was the first to cover Kings of Leon, since her remix of the track was on the "Knocked Up" single a while ago. At any rate, she ripped through a mellow and ruminative version of "Knocked Up" last week on Daly's show, and the video is above. The video cuts out at three minutes, but the audio doesn't, so the music portion is complete. [Stereogum]
Kings of Leon are a tough band to cover mainly because Caleb Followill's voice leaves such an impression on the listener, that it's hard to separate song from artist. I like that this cover captured the mellowness of the original, but I missed that drunken-i will prevail- don't give a s&^% about anything- attitude from the original.

I like her twist on it,and how she well did a cover with her personal style and all .But her movements and all that crap she does moving really annoy me,and i do miss the original one.Caleb has such a unique voice that you cant forget ,that when you hear their songs sung by other people is strange.Good cover ,but prefer the original.
