Philadelphia's Raj Haldar, better known as Lushlife, just dropped his Western Vinyl debut, Plateau Vision, on April 17. After an awesome first single featuring Styles P--which then saw a great remix by Balam Acab--he put out the Heems-featuring "Hale-Bopp was the Bedouins."
As the pattern goes, "Hale-Bopp" has been flipped by Shabazz Palaces, and this rework boasts a verse from Shabazz's own Ishmael Butler, aka the Palaceer. Now the track is full of guttural synth buzzes and warped vocals; combine that with the absence of Heems' rap and you've got a completely new song. Listen to the Shabazz remix below. [GvB]
