I feel as if Lupe Fiasco's Modest Modest-interpolating single, "The Show Goes On," is some sort of self-referential anthem about his music career. I mean, just think about the last year the Chicago rapper's had and try not to think of this track in that way. The cliche that "the show must go on" is probably why he didn't just try to get out of his contract with Atlantic Records. And what better way than dropping a huge, celebratory single like this that embraces his want to just get Lasers out to his fans?
Lasers is due out March 8, 2011...barring any further delays.
