Between the NBA Finals, HOT 97's Summer Jam 2011, the MTV Movie Awards, and whatever the hell else was on, you had a lot of options of where to end up while enjoying the last bit of the weekend. And if you happened to chose the awards show -- don't worry, we're not judging you. The show has always been an entertainment spectacle and mindless fun.
It's also always home to some decent live performances, which last night included this two-song medley from Lupe Fiasco. He started things off with his new Lasers single, the radio-friendly "Out of My Head," before retreating to the album's (and his) biggest track, "The Show Goes On." Because we have all heard the latter ad nauseam, this could have been a lot more grating. But Fiasco's energy is infectious to the point some of y'all might end up revisiting Lasers, which is out now.
