Lumerians: "Burning Mirrors" (Prefix Premiere)

When psychedelic-infused rock is done well, it can provide one of the more engrossing listening experiences around. The layering of sounds and instruments can lead to you being absolutely immersed in one aspect of the music as everything swirls around you. And that's just what happens here on Lumerian's "Burning Mirrors," which opens up their forthcoming debut, Transmalinnia.

It's easy to get lost in the stoner-laden haze of the track at first, but repeated listens will draw you to specific aspects, such as the steady bass line, howling organs, or fuzzy guitar. Or, perhaps, you will just be enthused to hear such a killer blend of noise-rock and psychedelia, which climaxes with about a minute left to spare before everything fades away as one.
