Like the dunce cap worthy and Gucci Mane-assisted "Shake N Fries" before it, "I'm on Fire" stems from Ludacris' upcoming free mixtape, 1.21 Gigawatts. But where this latest tune differs greatly is in the fact that it's an all-around winner for the personable ATL spitter. And it actually sounds like his older style/approach that he intended on embracing with this project.
Part of the reason for that is the Southern-fried, vocal sample-driven production, which allows Luda to be outrageous, but not abrasive. His punch lines might fall flat here and there -- "Dinglish"? WTF is that? -- but this is too well-produced to be anything but ill. Plus, Big K.R.I.T. rips it on his guest feature. Stream "I'm on Fire" below. [2DopeBoyz]
