I Do It For Hip-Hop ft. Jay-Z and Nas (MP3)

“I’m still king of the south” Ludacris raps on “I Do It For Hip-Hop” off his upcoming Theater of Mind (due out on November 24), and it’s telling he doesn’t call himself the best MC in the world since he’s joined on the track by Nas (who actually says he’s the best MC ever on the song) and Jay-Z. The general conceit of the song is that the rappers on the track rap only to further hip-hop as an art, not as a way to make money (except for Jay-Z who says hip-hop saved his life). I’m not sure I buy that, but the track is pretty good overall—at least it's better than a lot of Luda’s other songs.
