It’s been a minute (or nearly two years) since the Big Pink debuted with A Brief History of Love. But the British duo appears to be working on some new material, which they have said has a heavy hip-hop influence. They are also apparently honing their skills as a cover act. At least, that’s what this take on the Cure’s “Lovesong” would lead you to believe. It’s a pretty far cry from the original, which also got covered by 311. But don’t worry, it’s not as bad as 311’s white-boy reggae version. It’s actually pretty much what you would expect from the Big Pink taking on a track by the Cure, meaning that it’s noisy, drone-y, and pretty great.
