Don’t go checking the track list of that copy of Girls’ Father, Son, Holy Ghost on your hard drive, “Love Life” isn’t on there. It’s a Europe-only bonus track attached to the album, and you can hear it now at Disco Naivete. It doesn’t have the somber mood of most of Father, so it makes sense that this would be bonus material only, especially since this is simpler and not as great as the band’s other material. I’m still not sure I buy the hype surrounding Girls, but at least they don’t bury their stuff in synths, and sound pretty unique (at least in the context of blog rock).
Father, Son, Holy Ghost is out tomorrow.
