Earlier this year, the UK septet Los Campesinos! released Romance Is Boring, an incendiary burst that brought violent dissonance to the band's sugary sweet indie rock. "Too Many Flesh Suppers" is a track recorded at the same time as Romance, but ultimately did not make the album cut. Instead it was relegated to b-side status. According to the band, however, nobody bought the single, so they decided to make "Flesh Suppers" available for download. It's brutal cacophony works in a different way than any of what appeared on Romance, slithering through a variety of tempo changes that will throw listeners the same way the noise rock moments did on the album. Take special note of those tension-wire violin lines, which really carry the tune. Listen to the track here. [Pitchfork]
