Los Campesinos! are hard at work on their sophomore album (third if you count We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed, but the band doesn't), and today they've released a new song, "The Sea Is a Good Place to Think of the Future," as a free MP3 and video download. "The Sea" features Gareth Campesinos' typical acerbic vocals married to dark instrumentation with exploding climaxes. The video features some predictable shots of people thinking about the future near the sea while drinking and having a late-night beach party.

The song bodes well for the Campesinos! new album, which is due out sometime in 2010.  To download the MP3, go here.
