“How I Taught Myself to Scream” isn’t from Los Campesinos! recently announced We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed; rather it’s an unreleased track recorded during the sessions for their solid debut, Hold on Now, Youngster. The song is more punky than anything off that album-- it thrashes with some terse guitar lines and flies off the rails, before completely mellowing out with a sweet violin fit for Gareth and Alexsandra Campesinos! to do their cutesy male-female interlude over.
We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed is due out in the U.K. on October 13 via Wichita, and a North American release is slated for sometime in November via Arts & Crafts.
