Things have taken a turn for the uptempo in the Loney, Dear camp, if "Airport Surroundings," the first single from the forthcoming Dear John album, is anything to go by. Uptempo that is, but not upbeat.
The mellow vibes from Emil Svanängen's previous albums have been replaced by a faster-paced, more frantic sound, the "You are all that I want" chorus is more frenzied than the joyous you would expect.
Director Marcus Söderlund reflects this new sense of urgency in the video for the single, which shows Svanängen driving distractedly through twilight and nightlit streets, rushing to deliver what appears to be a bagel -- or maybe it's just time I got myself some lunch. [Pitchfork]

bagel, ha ha ha. it is a heart. a real heart.
