I'm not quite sure if the video for Local Natives' "World News" is a drug-fueled (whatever is in that tank is not oxygen, I bet) trip through the mind of someone obsessed with women splashing in fruit punch and watching uniformed Fantasy Island employees play songs that are heavily influenced by Fleet Foxes, or is just plain batty and has no narrative arc at all. Either way, this clip is pretty beautiful, and the song ain't bad either (it's probably firmly in the middle in terms of good songs on the band's debut). Still though, what's the deal with the fruit punch ladies?
