The lack of promotion for Lloyd Banks's H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger For More 2) isn't terribly surprising as oft-delayed projects always tend to get the shaft. But it is somewhat unfortunate considering I've heard it's pretty solid. The other reason it's not that surprising is that most of its singles, except for, of course, "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley," haven't really caught on. Sure, "Any Girl" and "Start It Up" were minor hits, but they had nothing on Banks's ode to luxury cars. And his latest, "I Don't Deserve You," ends up treading similar territory. Although the beat, the second verse, and Jeremih's hook are good enough, this brand of lover-man rap just sounds tired these days.
