Little Brother is one of those acts that hip-hop heads and casual listeners alike will miss for many years to come. And the group's eventual downfall began once the one-time trio of 9th Wonder, Rapper Big Pooh and Phonte became a duo of strictly Pooh and Phonte. And from there, both the MCs began working mostly on their solo efforts or albums with other acts, such as the Foreign Exchange. As such, it wasn't entirely shocking, though still depressing, when the news came that LeftBack would be the duo's curtain call. OkayPlayer has an album sampler stream and download link available for what's at least sounding like a solid final record.
LeftBack, which features 11 new tracks and two remixes, drops April 20.
