There probably hasn't been an act who broke in 2008 whose 2009 has been as big as Little Boots'. In this video, taken last week at SXSW, Boots looks about as comfortable as if she's been doing this for years, working her awkward, platinum blonde, violet-ruffled charm on the crowd with aplomb. Watching her perform "Meddle," it might seem like too much to ask of Little Boots to make pop music respectable in America again, but we can still hold out hope, at least until the full-length arrives.
