After premiering her new single, "Headphones," on BBC Radio last week, English disco-pop queen Victoria Christina Hesketh, a.k.a. Little Boots, began a teaser video campaign to promote the track and its video. She describes the video's concept below.
"The inspiration for the video was partly from the wim wenders film 'Paris Texas' and the idea of a peep show revolving around headphones and listening to music as opposed to talking. The idea is that everyday characters enter a booth and on listening to the song their extrovert selves appear in the reflection, so the song is a way of releasing their inner selves and setting the crazier side of them free. We wanted to create an energetic party atmosphere to fit the song whilst avoiding the cliches of a lot of current club themed videos. "
The single, which was produced by New York City's electro-pop king pins The Knocks, is a twinkling, bass-laden dance track that will, without a doubt, find its way into club rotations this summer.
"Headphones," will be available digitally on June 3 and physically July 16 on 679. Check out the fourth installment of the video teasers below, as well as the single's track listing.
