Should you be hurting for some musical suicide ideation, the AV Club has put out a playlist of the 36 best songs to kill yourself to. The more obvious gems are there—Johnny Cash’s cover of NIN’s “Hurt,” the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Suicidal Thoughts,” the M.A.S.H. theme song “Suicide is Painless,” Elliott Smith’s “King’s Crossing.” More surprising are selections from the Bee Gees and Blink-182. “Ironically, like many of the songs on this list,” the AV Club writes of the Smiths’ ”Asleep,” “it’s actually so heartbreakingly good and cathartic that it might make you want to stick around a little longer.”

A lot of good songs, but a little literal, no?
