About eight years ago, it would have seemed inconceivable that Linkin Park would be getting more hype/internet notoriety for a pretty okay cover of an unstoppable song by a 21-year-old British chanteuse who at the same time would be dominating the Billboard Charts like the War of 1812 never ended than for their own material. But here we are, as Linkin Park's cover of "Rolling in the Deep" at iTunes Festival this weekend is everywhere this morning. I guess the consolation prize for all of us is that this doesn't involve a DJ or that guitarist that is always wearing headphones, and is instead just a scream-heavy take on the song. An improvement over a regular Linkin Park video? Undoubtedly.
Scream-heavy? There's absolutely no screaming in this at all. Next time, actually listen to the song before writing about it. It's a great cover, and Chester is a great singer. Not everyone can hit those high notes like that!

Okay. Chester wasn't screaming. I think everyone who heard the cover knows that. I love the Adele's voice but if there is any male singer can take on this hard song, he would be Chester from LP. Whoever writing this poorly written couple of lines above, really gotta get a hang of who is Chester is and what LP is. LP is one of the greatest bands of recent history. They have been around 11 years since their first album 'Hybrid Theory'. They have got millions of fans all over the world. So you need to think twice before claiming Chester is 'screaming'. His voice is what defines LP! Adele should be flattered about LP's decision. If Adele is around for next decade, yeah, sure I will rate her but LP was epic when Adele was a teenager. Please, just get the balance right! LP covered the song because they love the song not because they need Adele's help...on anything.
