Liminals isn’t a real word, though it sounds like it ought to be. Perhaps that’s what Anna-Karin Brus and Tomas Bodén were thinking when they named their techno-pop band. It makes weird sense because Liminals (the word) somehow invokes the same late-night, ethereal qualities found in Liminals’ (the band) music. The Swedish duo plan to release a four song vinyl collection next week called Hearthand on Friendly Noise records, which promises to be the third great Italo-disco album in as many months (see also: Washed Out, Neon Indian). In the Sebastian Rozenberg-directed video for “The Swim,” flowing water imagery is spliced together with Vaseline-coated shots of silhouettes practicing their yoga. [Discobelle]

bruce porter, "vasline-coated" is so correct.
