It doesn’t get much better than riding a rocket ship onto the stage. These are the kind of moments that every performer should strive for, and Lily Allen pulled it off at the Brit Awards last night, where she disembarked from her ship and performed a version of “The Fear.”
Allen has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately, but proved here that she can be a compelling pop performer when she puts her mind to it. The biggest WTF moment comes when her dancers perform with a set of strollers while paratroopers descend from the ceiling holding clear plastic umbrellas. It probably all makes sense to Allen, but even she collapses in giggles at the end.
She sounds pretty good here.
