"Prom Queen" (Live in San Diego) (Video)

Lil Wayne's "rock" single "Prom Queen" premiered earlier this week, and last night in San Diego, Wayne broke the song out live for the first time. The performance is pretty rough--the audio quality is kind of suspect--and Wayne shouts without the help of the Auto-Tuner that cleans up his vocals on the studio version. Wayne busts out some guitar near the end (I had trouble hearing anything he did, but he seemed incredibly stoked after he did it), and (thankfully) sits out the latter half of the song as the back-up singer takes over singing duties.

 

I'm starting to think that this might be a confrontational art piece by Wayne to see if he can get people to buy him as a rock artist. But maybe I'm just hoping this all a part of some bigger reveal. (It's not. This is terrible, y'all.) [NahRight]
