Lil Wayne: "If I Die Today (John)" f. Rick Ross
We learned last week that Lil Wayne's new and absurdly anticipated album, Tha Carter IV, is finished and due for a May release. With that in mind, it was only a matter of time before tracks started leaking. Enter "If I Die Today." The song features Weezy and Rick Ross tossing bars back and forth over an epic, banging presumably produced by Polow da Don (apparently), who is mimicking Lex Luger's style pretty hard. No one involved on the track really treads outside of his respective comfort zone -- and some will argue that this sounds like Weezy doing his best Rawse impression. But shit, it's still catchy, a lot of fun, and primed to ruin plenty of speakers across the country.
