Quentin Tarantino provided a typically squirm-inducing introduction to this collaboration between Drake, Lil Wayne and Eminem at the Grammys last night (Jan. 31). Travis Barker from Blink-182 also joins the threesome on the song, which is a mahup of Drake’s “Forever” and Wayne’s “Drop the World.”
Sounds like it could be good, right? Unfortunately, as anyone who viewed the show or the clip above knows, the collaboration was marred by long silences, stuck in by CBS whenever anything considered to be profanity was uttered. As a result, it makes for painful and somewhat pointless viewing, although there are a few stretches where the network eased up on the censorship.
This performance hurt my brain. Thanks, CBS, for ruining what could have been at least decent.
"Drop the World" or "Drop the Audio" ?
I just watched an uncensored version from a different country's broadcast and..wow, they all censored themselves anyway. The hook for "Forever" features Drake singing "sh*t" twice, but he replaced it with "here" both times.
Em needs to smoke some weed and chill the F out.
