Les Savy Fav: "Shoes" from Yo Gabba Gabba (Video)

While there may not be a person more unfit for children's television than Tim Harrington, Nickelodeon's occasionally bizarre show Yo Gabba Gabba nonetheless recently featured a track penned by the occasionally bizarre band Les Savy Fav. Put on paper like that, the pairing actually does make a little sense. "Shoes," which accompanied a video clip from the show wherein what appears to be a bespectacled cucumber is really, really excited about a new pair of shoes, is a song about, um, shoes. And how great this pair is. No mentions of rigor mortis or doomed submarine journeys here. Despite the inanity, this song is actually quite fun to listen to. [Pitchfork]
