I can't really think of a more unlikely late-night television performer than Les Claypool, so in that respect, Claypool's performance on Jimmy Kimmel last night was a resounding success. That Claypool would essentially play the weirdo by having his band dressed as republicans and then opted to play the moody "Red State Girl," a self-explanatory song about two conservatives liking Sarah Palin, was expected, but this performance is one of the most entertaining that I've seen on TV in a long while.
